A blood drive from Twitterjaya.

Date  : 13th October 2012

Venue  : Sime Darby Medical Centre (SDMC) Subang Jaya

Time  : 8am till 230pm 

Public transport : KTM Subang Jaya, taxi to SDMC  

Own transport  : Parking ticket will be waived (for donors) 

Introduction 

As we all know, the supply of fresh blood in hospitals is always at short. And the demand for blood is increasing day by day. A blood donation can save lives if the blood is safe for the recipients. With this, Twitterjaya is taking an initiative to organise a blood drive and it is open to the public to participate. 

Objectives 

a) To save lives 

b) To give awareness especially to the youth on the importance of giving blood

Target donors 

Everyone, with or without a Twitter account. 

Program tentative 

a) Walk-in registration (read all the information and the form is signed as an agreement) 

b) Brief medical check up (donor’s iron rate, blood group and a general physical examination, etc)

c) For the first timer, you will be given a donor book. 

d) Donate blood (takes only 5 minutes; depends on the donor's blood saturation) 

e) Will be given a complimentary food and drink (provided by SDMC) 

f) Mingle around
